Rattana Manalo is Passionate about being a Fitness Professional
Rattana has been a certified fitness professional for 4 years. During Covid, she decided to go out of her confront zone and learn something new. After a bit of internet research, she came upon the NESTA website and decided to enroll in the Lifestyle & Weight Management Specialist program.
After finishing the LWMS course, Rattana decided to become certified in Muay Thai Fitness and the MMA Conditioning Coach program.
Impressed by Rattana’s dedication to her business and clients, the NESTA team wanted to share a bit of her story.
Why did you decide to become a fitness professional?
I decided to become a fitness professional after I lost my dear mother to cancer. She was my inspirational and motivational person. After she passed, I decided to make a difference in people’s lives so that they can stay healthy and fit for life. Bryce Krause was the main reason why I took the MTF Instructor certification. He was the real deal!
How are you currently utilizing your certifications?
To help me advance in my career. I am giving myself a head start that my competition may not have. This helped makes me stand out among other applicants when looking for a job, and even be the determining factor in getting promoted over someone else.
What is the biggest challenge for you as a trainer/coach?
Adapting the training to a varied audience.
What makes you stand out from other trainers or coaches?
My professional skills, area of expertise, personal qualities, amazing diverse experience, and passion for fitness and health coaching.
What is your biggest accomplishment in the industry? How did your certifications help reach this goal?
To see my clients’ body transformations and to see them continue with their workout goals. I have learned the fundamentals of fitness, movement, exercise science, training, and coaching. Also, guided me to the knowledge base necessary to help clients meet their goals, safely and effectively.
What has been your most rewarding experience as a trainer or coach?
Having the ability to make a difference in people’s lives can be incredibly rewarding and is a main driver for why I entered the fitness industry.
How has social media played a role in your business?
It helps me in my career development and connects with my audience in a deeper and more effective way. Bring attention to my work and helps in the job hunt. Build my brand and recognition in the market.
Any advice for people thinking about a coaching/training career?
Doing good research and start investing in a great and real professional program led by trusted brands like NESTA & Spencer Institute is always a wise decision in career making. I’m glad that I took this journey with NESTA.
What does the future hold for you?
Being in fitness and health for many good years has led me to the next level of business. Today, I am the founder and CEO of a fitness clothing brand and a company IndigoV Entrepreneur LLC.
Is there anything else about your coaching career that you’d like to share?
Being fit not only means physical health but emotional and mental health, too. It defined every aspect of my overall health. Smart eating and active living are fundamental to fitness. Also, I have to be passionate about my work. It’s a commitment so I have to love it!
