Setting up a killer email marketing strategy is imperative, and not having one can be a real detriment to the health and longevity of your business.
A great tip that our team picked up, is having an arsenal of prewritten emails at the ready. Get sweaty with your significant other on Valentines Day!
It’s not what you think!
Valentine’s Day is almost here and like most dudes…this is one I wouldn’t mind skipping 😉
Well, there is another way of celebrating Valentine’s Day that will make you feel less guilty about the chocolates and dinner, and simultaneously improve the more private celebration that happens later on. I’m talking about an at home V-Day Workout!
Here’s a great way to work out with your partner in crime on Valentine’s Day just like we do in boot camp. It’s called “partner density training.” The way it works is that you have to do 10 reps of a certain exercise while your partner has to do a separate exercise. But there is a twist. Your partner has to do THEIR exercise for however long it takes you to finish yours and then you switch. Here’s an example:
You do 20 jump squats while your partner holds a plank. Your partner holds a plank for however long it takes you to complete your 20 reps, then you switch.
Try that circuit out yourself and see how many times you and your partner can switch in 5 minutes.

Happy Valentines Day…Free Workouts inside!
Happy Valentines Day!
Since today is the “Lovers” holiday, I wanted to give you these 3 great partner fat loss circuits that you could do with your significant other. These workout protocols are known as “partner density training” and are one of the many we use at <Business Name> to burn a ton of fat and calories with a partner. Here’s how it works.
Each circuit has 2 exercises. You will perform 10 reps of the first exercise and your partner will do the other exercise for however long it takes you to finish the first. Once you have finished your 10 reps your partner is done as well, and you switch.
The goal is to get as many rounds done as you can in 5 minutes. Here are the three circuits.
Circuit #1
- Jump squat x 10 reps
- Plank
Circuit #2
- Pushups x 10 reps
- Jumping Jacks
Circuit #3
- Burpees x 10
- Glute bridge
The exercises themselves are pretty basic compared to what we normally do at <Business Name>, but it’s a great bodyweight version that you can do at home.

All-Natural Cookie Recipe! My Favorite Cheat Treat!
Cookie Time!!!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons almond paste
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
10 packets of Truvia
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder
2 cups oats
1 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together applesauce, almond paste, flaxseed oil, Truvia, and agave nectar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda, salt, pepper, and whey protein powder. Beat thoroughly. Stir in oats, cherries, and almonds. Mix well. Drop the batter by large tablespoons onto a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Divide dough so that you have 18 cookies. Flatten each cookie with the back of the spoon. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until browned. Remove from oven. Cool and store in a plastic container. Each cookie has 128 calories!

No Carb wrap
Ingredients
Wrap
- 1 egg
- 4 Egg whites
Filling
- 100g chicken breast
- 6 semi dried tomatoes
- Handful of spinach
Directions
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Whisk egg whites and yolk.
Grease pan and spread mixture over the pan and bake for 20 minutes.
Pull out of the oven (at this stage it has formed the wrap).
Add chicken, semi-dried tomato, spinach, and wrap it up.
Hold closed with a toothpick and place back in the oven for 10 minutes and it will hold together perfectly.

Seared Tuna Salad
5 Spice (look in your spice aisle)
Salt
Pepper
Tuna (I like Ahi) 4oz.
Olive Oil 2 tsp.
Mesculin Greens
Red Onions
Balsamic Vinegar 1 tblsp.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl then coat tuna on both sides. Place one tsp. of olive oil in pan and sear each side on medium heat. In a bowl put lettuce, onions, balsamic, and olive oil then toss together.
Cut tuna into thin slices and place on salad.

A Little “Me Time” for Moms!
With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I thought I’d share some quick fat loss tips for moms.
Not that moms need tips. Being a mom is way tougher than burning fat (once you have a game plan set in place, that is.)
I feel like any woman who can give birth and raise a child definitely has the strength to change her own body, but so many moms are used to putting all the focus on their kids that they forget how to invest any time in THEMSELVES!!!!
Anyway, if you’re a mom who could use some “me time,” why not get that self-focused alone time while using some of these tips to burn fat?
Tip #1 – Plan out your day (the night before)
A lot of my clients who are moms literally can’t get anything done for themselves in a simple day unless they write it down and plan when they are doing it the night before. It’s too easy to fall into “carpool” or “errand running” mode, and before you know it, its 3 pm and you’re starving because you haven’t eaten yet.
Tip #2 – Ditch the cardio
When it comes to exercise, the last thing you should be doing to burn fat is long bouts of cardio. Cardio training has been shown to increase oxidative stress on the body, which can increase the speed of aging. And, it pumps your cortisol hormone, which is a stress hormone, through the roof.
The last thing any mom wants is to look older faster and induce more stress than she already has.
Tip #3 – Do full body strength workouts
The bodybuilder type split muscle routines that the Joe Schmoe trainer is doing at your local big franchise gym is not going to get you your pre-kid body back. You need to focus on doing upper body, lower body, and full body movements that give you a high caloric burn, as well as work more of your muscles in less time.
Tip #4 – Ditch the baby weight
Chances are you’re probably a lot stronger than you think. Lifting heavier weights is the only way to get stronger; it produces a ton of fat burning hormones and it burns a lot more calories than “toning” movements with light weights.
Those should be enough to get you started in the right direction. I have a couple more e-mails I’ll be sharing with you this week plus a special deal for you on Mother’s Day, so stay tuned.

Don’t read this if you’re not a guy!
Hey, what’s Up <first name>?
When it comes to juggling work, exercise, and raising children, a lot of men tend to drop the ball on exercise. It’s understandable; after all, you have to provide for your family and you have to be there for your kids.
But this can get pretty dangerous for your health, not just from packing on the pounds but also for your testosterone levels.
Strength training plays a huge role in maintaining higher levels of testosterone and it’s without a doubt the best way to shed fat, but chances are you’re probably doing it completely wrong!
The typical bodybuilder style workout routines that guys are accustomed to in the gym are outdated and can actually lower your testosterone if you do it wrong.
I’ll fill you in on a couple common mistakes and some tweaks you can make in a couple days, but real quick I wanted to let you know we are going to have a huge Father’s Day Special on a new Men’s only challenge. Keep an eye out for that later and I’ll talk to you soon.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Training for Dads!
A lot of guys have a hard time getting back into shape or even getting in shape for the first time, especially later in life. It gets even harder especially after settling down and having kids. Here are some of the common mistakes I see: (ladies give this to your hubby’s)
Here are the DON’TS:
- Training like a teenager: you can’t expect to jump into the weight room and crank out an hour-long workout session and then be fully recovered to work out again a day or two later. You’ve got to train smart and do more work in less time.
- Training like a bodybuilder: you also can’t expect to crank out a single workout dedicated completely to just one muscle group. That’s going to wipe out your joints.
- Jogging: running is the fastest way to get yourself as far away from your goals as possible. It’s taxing on the joints and increases estrogen and cortisol and lowers testosterone, which makes it harder to burn fat.
Here are the DO’s:
- Keep your workouts short, intense, full-body strength workouts.
- Utilize your own body weight along with a variety of artificial resistances.
