It’s All Good If You Do It (exercise that is)

Find the good in ALL fitness programs

There is value in every exercise you do, if it doesn’t cause injury!  Do you like power house boom boom work, moderate or slow work? Do you want to work with equipment or just your body? Do you want to work inside or outside? We have so many choices to improve our health. Are you an able-bodied individual or do you have a body that needs some assistance? All of us will sometimes be needing some help because of injury, lack of funds, or something else. Sometimes we have to slow down and reconsider our goals and objectives for your lives. As we age, our goals may change.

You decide-be sure to decide. Deciding on your fitness activity is just as important and deciding on your nutrition or your sleep habits.

Some of the activities today are for people who like to really think they’re getting the best workout possible when suffering and sweat are the priorities.  Is sweat the supreme gauge of fitness?  Is weight loss the supreme gauge of fitness?  If it’s an activity at the gym, I’ve done it. I respect the right of people to choose their passion. My passion has changed as I have continued my life in the fitness world. I am only listing a few of my fitness choices. Each person can make the best choices for their health. I believe in it all!

Tai Chi will slowly and steadily give you a whole body workout. You might not feel it but believe me–it will be working!

Yoga can be vigorous or calming and relaxing.  It’s up to each individual which kind of yoga works for them.

Pilates will make sure you’re thinking about your whole body and the value of your of your abdominal area and your back area.

Water exercise is resistance exercise even if you don’t realize it. Water exercise can be aerobic and resistance training all packed into one move.

Zumba ™ will involve the whole body and take it as far as you want to go.  Zumba ™ has it all!

I believe in all of these fitness activities.  Sometimes I want to work like the devil or sometimes I want to be like an angel.

I have noticed in many situations that a person will get involved and drop out before there are immediate results. Sometimes results are subtle and are more profound than the visible results. Imagine a perfect world where all people are respected and all people take very good care of themselves. To me this would be a perfect world. I read one time that the only space you can really be responsible for is the space around you. We can be responsible for our space and try to encourage others to be responsible. We can’t force anyone to look into the mirror and criticize themselves. That is not what we need to do. Just look at yourself and hope you’re doing the best you can for yourself.
